Sometims we soldier on in life with aches and pains…
Particularly as we get older we consider painful problems with our necks and backs and hips as the crosses we have to bear, part of the ageing process.
In effect, we suffer in silence. But we don’t have to.
Cheshire Natural Health’s Christine Whiteley is here to help. As a highly trained and widely respected expert physiotherapist, she understands exactly how to tackle painful problems and injuries. She can help patients to a happier and pain-free future.

What is physiotherapy?

It is a hands-on evidence-based therapy, which aims to diagnose the root cause of the problem. Through a range of treatments, physiotherapy restores movement and function to those affected by injury, chronic illness and disability.
And the great thing about it is this – physiotherapy is suitable for all ages including children and the elderly.

What problems can be treated with physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy can address a very wide range of problems.
It could be problems due to the ageing process, the normal wear-and-tear of life. It could be issues caused by the results of lifelong bad posture. Or it may be related to sports, over-use or poor technique.
General problems that a physiotherapist is qualified to treat include neck, back and shoulder pain. If you are suffering from hip problems, then Christine can use physiotherapy to address the issue. It is also effective for tackling trapped nerves, including painful sciatica.
It is also suitable for on-going problems with knees, legs, feet and ankles. If you are recovering from major surgery or trauma, then physiotherapy is highly recommended.
And it can even provide support for patients who have chronic health conditions such as osteo-arthritis and fibromyalgia.

What can I expect from physiotherapy treatment?

The physiotherapist may use a range of treatments including massage, manipulation, ultrasound, electrotherapy and acupuncture. The holistic nature of the therapy also involves the patient undertaking in their own time carefully prescribed exercises, allowing the rehabilitation to continue between treatments and to prevent the recurrence of the problem.
Christine also offers musculo-skeletal screening, which aims to improve flexibility, strength and stability, to promote optimum performance.

Your health in safe hands

Christine is qualified to the highest medical standards and has more than 30 years’ experience to draw upon.
She qualified in 1983 at the Royal Liverpool Hospital College. She has a wealth of knowledge and expertise, so you can be confident that you will receive the very best treatment and care.
Since graduating, Christine has specialised in musculo-skeletal conditions and sports injuries. Since 1999 she has been involved with England Golf, helping young and upcoming players with their physical preparation rehabilitation.
Christine is registered with Health Insurance Companies such as BUPA, PPP, and will take referrals from Consultants, General Practitioners (GPs), Solicitors or self-referrals.
